Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile app “Tanpri” (hereby referred to as “Application”) and the website https://tanpri.app (hereby referred to as “Website”), both provided by Ttech LLC (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”). The Application is provided as a Freemium service and is intended for use “AS IS.”

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects certain information to provide and improve its services. This information includes, but is not limited to:

  • Usage events about how the Application is operated (the type and count of actions such as creating flashcards or decks, starting a study session, printing, purchasing, watching an ad, or importing). The text you enter, such as the content of flashcards or deck names, is never sent
  • Purchase history and purchase status (one-time in-app purchase)
  • Advertising identifier (Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS) and device information used for ad delivery and measurement, collected only when ads are shown through Google AdMob
  • Device information automatically collected by the third-party SDKs used by the Application (Firebase, Crashlytics, and AdMob), such as the IP address, the operating system and its version, and the device model

The Application does not collect location information about your device.

The Service Provider may also use the information you provide to contact you with important updates, required notices, or promotional materials.

Data Created in the Application and Device Permissions

Flashcards and decks you create in the Application, and photos attached to flashcards, are stored only on your device. The Service Provider does not operate any server that receives this data, and this data is never sent to the Service Provider.

  • Backups and shared files: The backup and sharing features write files on your device to a location you choose, or read them from there. The Application never uploads these files to a cloud service automatically, and the Service Provider never receives them. If you choose a third-party cloud service such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive as the destination for saving or sharing, the files are handled under that service’s terms and privacy policy
  • Camera: The Application may request camera permission when you attach a photo to a flashcard. Photos you take are stored only on your device
  • Tracking permission (iOS): On iOS, the Application may show a dialog asking for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) before displaying an ad. You can change your choice at any time in the iOS Settings app

Third-Party Services

The Application and the Website use the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:

The Application is provided as a Freemium service, and a one-time in-app purchase is required to create more than a certain number of flashcards. To manage purchases and purchase status, the purchase history (purchased product, purchase date and time, etc.), an anonymous app user ID issued per installation, and information about your device are sent to RevenueCat. Payments are processed through Google Play or the App Store, and the Service Provider never receives payment details such as credit card numbers, nor your name or Google account / Apple Account information. The Service Provider is not responsible for the data practices or privacy policies of these third-party services.

Advertising

The Application may display rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. Ads are shown only when a free-plan user imports a backup, a shared file, or a CSV file and agrees to watch an ad, and watching the ad makes the corresponding feature available to the user.

For ad delivery and personalization, Google AdMob may collect device information including the advertising identifier (Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS). For details, please refer to Google’s advertising policies.

Users can opt out of personalized advertising in the following ways:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Reset advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization”
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disallow tracking for this Application (or turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”)

After opting out, ads will still be shown but will no longer be personalized based on the user’s interests.

Website (tanpri.app) Access Analytics

Tool Used

The Website uses Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js), provided by Google LLC. This is separate from “Google Analytics for Firebase,” which is used by the Application.

Information Collected

  • A per-browser identifier stored in cookies (such as _ga)
  • The URL of the pages you view and the date and time of viewing
  • The referrer (which site or link you came from)
  • Device information such as your browser, operating system, and screen size
  • Your approximate region

Your IP address is transmitted to Google as part of the connection; however, Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses (Google Help).

Purpose of Use

This information is used to understand how the Website is used and to improve it. The Website does not serve ads, and the Service Provider does not use analytics data for advertising purposes. Users in the EEA and the UK

If the region determined by Google is the European Economic Area (EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) or the United Kingdom, storage of analytics cookies is disabled by default through Consent Mode. Because the Website provides no mechanism for obtaining consent (such as a banner), no cookie-based measurement takes place in these regions. However, cookieless signals for aggregate reporting are still sent to Google, which Google uses for statistical modeling (About Consent Mode).

Opting Out

  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on in your browser (this stops the Website from sending data to Google Analytics)
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (this prevents or resets cookie-based identification; it does not stop the measurement itself)

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained by Google. The Service Provider can view this data in the Google Analytics console; the Service Provider normally uses aggregated reports, but may look at the browsing history of an individual visitor tied to the cookie identifier, for example to handle a deletion request. If you wish to request deletion of analytics data or similar, please contact the Service Provider using the contact information below.

Other Third-Party Connections

The Website uses Google Fonts, and your browser sends requests to Google when loading the fonts.

Disclosure to Third Parties

The Service Provider does not provide personal information to third parties without the user’s consent, except where required by law and except for sending information, to the extent necessary to provide each service, to the third-party services used by the Application and the Website (see “Third-Party Services” and “Website (tanpri.app) Access Analytics”).

Data Retention Policy

The Application does not collect or retain personal information. However, third-party services (such as analytics and payment management tools) used by the Application and the Website may collect and retain data.

However, for the data of the Website’s access analytics (Google Analytics 4), the Service Provider manages the Google Analytics property, so please send deletion or similar requests to the contact information below.

Security

The Service Provider takes the security of your personal information seriously. Reasonable measures, including physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, are in place to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children’s Privacy

The Application does not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The Website has no feature for entering your name, email address, or other personal information, and does not collect personal information you provide. The access analytics on the Website (see “Website (tanpri.app) Access Analytics”) do not distinguish by age and apply to all visitors.

If it is discovered that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will promptly take steps to delete such information.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child may have provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider using the contact information below so that appropriate action can be taken.

Because the Application is intended to be used by a wide range of users, including those under the age of consent, requests to Google AdMob include the tag_for_under_age_of_consent flag. As a result, personalized ads are not served to such users, and only non-personalized advertising may be shown.

Disclaimer

The Service Provider is not responsible for any loss, damage, or consequences resulting from the use of the Application or the Website. This includes, but is not limited to, issues arising from third-party services or the misuse of personal data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically for changes. Updates will be posted here, and continued use of the Application or the Website implies acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
